The Martial Unity

Chapter 2595: Grave Truth

Chapter 2595: Grave Truth

"What do you think?" Prime Minister Edward's mouth of disdain as he read through the report of the Dawnbringer bullying the proud Master Knights of the Britannian Empire.

In his office, several Sage Knights not on incursion defense duty had gathered.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"He was holding back most of his power." Sage Knight Vermillion replied. "Even when all of them ganged up on him, he was never once in true danger, having to limit himself just so that he could conduct his 'demonstration,' lest they be defeated before it was completed."

Prime Minister Edward narrowed his eyes. "..."

"There is a marked increase in the aura of his power," Sage Knight Delmont remarked. "It is profound. He does not feel like a Martial Master. His Martial Art feels completely different from before. It does not have the rigidity and limits that once deeply restrained his Adaptive Evolution. It feels... limitless."

He stirred in thought. "Limitless like water."

"That fundamental elevation of his Martial Art is most likely the cause of this strange new Martial Embodiment of his," Sage Knight Aubrey remarked with a hint of interest. "Gone is the void. In its place is an endless ocean of water that consumes all of heaven and earth. While Martial Embodiments can change, it is quite uncommon for it to undergo such an abrupt radical change."

"It's not just a change, but a qualitative and fundamental upgrade of great magnitude," Sage Knight Melwin corrected her. "His power is deep and unfathomable. I am truly unable to gauge its depths."

Prime Minister Edward swept a gaze around all of them. "And your verdict?"

The air chilled a few degrees.

"I..." Sage Melwin began. "I think the intelligence that the Dawnbringer not only fought a Martial Sage but gained the upper hand is feasible. He is truly a monster among monsters. I fear the world is not ready for the day he attains Enlightenment of Self."

"I, too, believe that the intel is not just viable but most likely true," Sage Knight Aubrey answered. "As absurd as it sounds, my instincts tell me that I would not be able to demolish him in a battle, even if I would certainly emerge victorious."

It was truly an astounding statement to make about not just a Master but the youngest Master alive.

And yet, none of the other Sage Knights scoffed at her words.

They resonated with it.

"His mind is colossal," Sage Delmont remarked. "It truly beggars the imagination, and as to what he is capable of, he exerts himself to his absolute limit. As much as it shocks me, I can see him having fought Sage Himari to an advantage."

Prime Minister Edward shifted his gaze to Sage Knight Vermillion, who fell into thought.

"He..." she began with a thoughtful tone, "may have gained the power of an additional Realm."

Her words stunned the other Sage Knights.

"As well-known, his cognition is innately superhuman. He was born with an astronomical mental capacity. There are reports that he had developed systems of thought even before he became a Martial Artist, an absurd feat beyond fathoming. I suspect..."

She narrowed her eyes. "...that he might have fought a way to amplify his innate mental qualities to such an extent that it could have empowered him the way an additional Realm of power might have."

Only Prime Minister Edward understood her train of thought. "You mean the incident in the Sekigahara Confederate."

She nodded. "An endless ocean engulfed the entire nation and other nations beyond, driving away the beast tides, lasting moments before it was revealed to be an illusion."

She turned to Prime Minister Edward. "That most certainly was his Embodiment, based on what we have seen of his new Embodiment."

The other Sages stirred. "That means that his Embodiment covered more than many thousands of kilometers?! That's impossible!"

"Based on the fact that his new Embodiment is water, there's no almost doubt that is exactly what happened," Sage Knight Vermillion remarked with a severe tone. "It was always speculated that if the information density of an Embodiment was high enough, it could be undeterred by distance or barriers. And now, we have absolute proof that not only is it possible, but Rui Quarrier Silas Kandria is the miracle that allows it to be possible. An impossible Embodiment most certainly requires an impossible mind."

The air tingled.

The atmosphere grew electric.

"So you mean to say..." Prime Minister Edward's tone was grave, "that not only did he fight a Sage and gain the upper hand, but he was also responsible for the apocalyptic illusion that consumed more than a billion human beings?"

Sage Knight Vermillion's expression grew complicated. "Yes."

Prime Minister Edward needed to breathe deeply in order to control his emotions. "So he is the one holding all of us hostage by walking into our nation with such an extraordinary weapon of mass destruction in his mind."

"It may very well be the case, yes."

The conversation felt surreal to all of them.

To think that it was the Britannian Empire who was at his mercy and not the other way around. "With this, he doesn't even need the political protection that he has by virtue of being one of the pillars of light in this era," Prime Minister Edward's grew grim.

He didn't have any intention of harming the Dawnbringer but was under the impression that he was the one with the leverage.

Now, even that illusion had been dispelled.

Of course, it was entirely possible that the Sages were enough, but the threat was so high that they simply could not risk his Embodiment being activated.

Psychologically, they re-evaluated his threat profile and shifted the way that they treated

him.

They treated him the way that they treated a Martial Sage.

"If only His Transcendence were here to offer his transcendent insights," Prime Minister Edward gritted his teeth.

They had kept the disappearance of the Transcendent Emperor a secret from the rest of the world, but the absence of the Knight of One left them feeling lost on all matters, including

this one.
