Apart from the North Federation and some war-torn countries, soldiers in other countries, especially those during peace time, find it difficult to become truly skilled soldiers. Real battlefields are drastically different from training grounds. Although soldiers in these peaceful countries have not lacked training, without the battlefield experience, no one knows whether they are qualified soldiers.

“Reporting to the chief! The soldiers of the Wolf Fang Special Forces Battalion have assembled and are ready for duty!” shouted the captain leading the squad.

“At ease.” Jack Lewis returned a salute and said loudly.

“Yes!” The captain quickly turned around to put the team at ease before rejoining the formation.

“Comrades, at ease.” Jack Lewis said.

Around him, a unison voice of agreement sounded, returning everyone to the standing position.

“Please relax comrades, we are soldiers but I believe we all recognize who is in front of us,” Jack Lewis said.

All the soldiers were looking at Finn Lewis. Although none of them answered, he could tell from their gaze that they recognized him. Despite not being a celebrity, Finn Lewis had a sufficiently high profile.

“He just made a bet with me.” Jack Lewis pointed at Finn Lewis and started laughing. He paused for a moment before continuing: “Of course, it’s not about who can make the most money.”

“Amid laughter from the soldiers, Jack Lewis waved his hand and said, “Everyone, relax. No need to be so formal. Since you are laughing, you must know that even if a hundred of me were bundled together, we would not stand a chance against him in a money-making competition. Oh, perhaps even a hundredfold isn’t enough. However, our bet isn’t about that but something else. He bet me that he could lead this new battalion of soldiers and defeat a group of seasoned fighters that I lead after a month of training.”

This immediately caused a stir among the soldiers. Although they were selected from the special forces, they were not strictly considered as new recruits since they have already served for at least a year, and none have served less than that. They were all non-commissioned officers.

This meant they had served in the army for over two years and stood out among their peers, without which they wouldn’t have made it to the special forces. However, they all knew in their hearts that the gap between them and the veteran soldiers of the special forces was too great.

Especially in face-to-face combat, as even with a three to one ratio in their favor, they probably would not be able to defeat the veterans. Now, Finn Lewis insanely claimed that with just a month’s time, he could train them to defeat those soldiers. “I’m fine with it, everyone, attention!” Jack Lewis said loudly.

Everyone then stood at attention again in uniform voice.

“For the next month, you will be undergoing closed-door training here. And Finn Lewis will be your highest authority, understood?” Jack Lewis asked loudly.

“Understood!”

“Good, then I’ll leave first. We’ll see each other in a month’s time,” Jack Lewis promptly said.

After Jack Lewis left, Finn Lewis looked at the soldiers and said with a strange expression, “Now form your lines. See these egg-like nutrient cabins below? Our training will be conducted in them. No need for unnecessary questions, you’ll understand later. Now line up, one person to one cabin.”
