The ends of the log where it connected with the mountain had sprouted roots that burrowed into the mountain itself.

The original plan was to cut off the roots on this side, push down the log, and use the weight of the log and the momentum of its fall to twist off the roots on the other side.

But the log was wedged too tightly and was too heavy, they couldn't budge it at all.

Going to the other side to cut off the roots to prevent the log from absorbing the energy from both mountains was not an option either, as that area was within the skill range of the bizarre creature, leaving them in a dilemma.

"I bet right!" Lin Shen was both shocked and delighted, seeing that the rock wedging the log was about to split from the mountain, he quickly called Wei and ran to the other side of the mountain.

The rock cracked in intervals, but it never completely broke off.

Lin Shen gathered all his strength and unleashed the Wave-Breaking Quadruple Punch at the mountain.

That punch was like the last snowflake that triggers an avalanche, immediately causing a massive rockslide as large swaths of rock tumbled down the mountain.

With the rocks sliding down, one end of the colossal log, which had lost its support, slid down as well.

The immense torque snapped the roots embedded in the mountain one by one, and the log, carrying a terrifying force, smashed down towards the bottom of the mountain.

The log crashed against the mountainside, fracturing the rocks, and when the roots at the other end finally snapped, the whole log smashed into the mountain stream with an incredibly terrifying momentum.

The ground shook, mountains quivered, and countless rocks rolled down from the mountain; dust billowed up below, creating a scene like the end of the world.

Lin Shen and Wei Wufu lay on the mountainside, trying their best to steady themselves, looking down into the ravine, but they couldn't see the situation below.

Wei Wufu looked down anxiously. Although he knew that a Nirvana Being's body wasn't so easy to damage, if it was smashed by that log, even a Nirvana Being's body wouldn't withstand it.

However, the chances of that were slim; the log's falling speed was much faster than their bodies would fall.

As soon as the shaking stopped, Wei Wufu and Lin Shen immediately rushed down the mountain toward the ravine, but they couldn't see anything in the midst of all the dust.

"Grandfather..." Wei Wufu shouted loudly, but his voice was already hoarse, thin and faint, almost lost.

"Wufu, we're okay," a voice came from within the dust, bringing Wei Wufu and Lin Shen immense relief.

"We're okay... we're okay..." another voice resonated amidst the dust, and soon the seven members of the Wei Family emerged from the clouds of dust.

Although they all had varying degrees of scrapes and bruises, they seemed to be alright, only their carapaces were somewhat damaged.

When the dust settled, Lin Shen and the others could see the log had smashed into the ravine, creating a deep pit.

Everyone's eyes searched and quickly found the location of the bizarre creature and the bug sac, down in a lower position.

The bug sac was crushed under the log, with the top half of the hideous creature exposed, and the sickeningly slimy substance that connected its body to the bug sac splattered everywhere.

Perhaps the contents of the bug sac were squeezed into pulp and squirted out; such was the terrifying weight of the log that not even a Nirvana Creature could withstand being smashed like that.

As Wei Changqing and the others were about to go finish it off, chopping the bizarre creature into pieces, the creature's body twitched.

With its hands pressing against the ground, it propped up its upper body and stared at Lin Shen and the others in a weird pose, letting out strange cackling laughs.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Finally... finally down here... I really should thank you..." the creature spoke human words, startling Lin Shen and the others.

Wei Changqing snapped into action, his swords rubbing together to create an indestructible purple thunderous crackling, slashing towards the bizarre creature.

With one hand supporting itself on the ground, the creature swung its grotesque fangs to meet the purple lightning, letting off a thunderous boom as Wei Changqing's attack was blocked.

The log swayed a few times, and as it rocked, countless roots could be seen sprouting from where it met the ground. These roots penetrated the earth under the entire log.

Streams of glowing light were drawn out from the earth, flowing into the log, which gradually began to glow with said light.

"This is bad," Lin Shen's expression soured, realizing that their plan had been wrong from the start.
