Hua Shengyang was silent for a moment after listening to Mu Xichen's words and then asked, "Will you inform Ruihan?"
"No," Mu Xichen said. "Since he doesn't want to meet her, there is no need to tell him about her visit."
Hearing a knock on the door, he added, "I have to go. Let's talk later."
Ending the call, Mu Xichen said, "Come in."
The servant walked in and reported, "Young Master Mu, the guests are waiting in the sitting room."
Mu Xichen said, "Alright, you can return to your duties."
"Yes, Young Master Mu," the servant replied before leaving.
After the servant left, Mu Xichen left the living room. Walking into the sitting room on the first floor, he saw Yao Ran at a glance and greeted her, "Long time no see, Miss Yao."
Yao Ran raised her eyes and saw a familiar yet unfamiliar face. She tried to recall who he was for a moment before hesitantly asking, "Mu Xichen?"
Mu Xichen, seated on the single couch, replied, "I'm honored that you still remember me. Should I call you Miss Yao or Younger Sister Ran Ran like before?"
Yao Ran smiled and responded, "Whichever makes you more comfortable."
Hearing her response, Mu Xichen's cold face showed a slight smile as he said, "Then I will call you Younger Sister Ran Ran."
After saying this, he looked at Long Yu and Shi Xuan and asked, "They are...?"
Yao Ran held Long Yu's hand as she introduced him.
"This is Long Yu, my boyfriend," she said, then gestured to Shi Xuan and added, "And this is my friend, Shi Xuan."
When Mu Xichen heard that Long Yu was Yao Ran's boyfriend, he looked at him with interest.
'Oh, so Younger Sister Ran Ran has a boyfriend now. Could this be the reason Ruihan didn't want to see her?'

After greeting them, he turned to Yao Ran and said, "Younger Sister Ran Ran, I heard from the servant that you came here to find Uncle Xu. Do you need anything? If you need help, you can let me know. Maybe I can help you."
Thinking that Mu Xichen didn't know about her past dealings with Xu Qipeng, Yao Ran said, "I heard from Captain Wu that Uncle Xu personally prepared the villa across the street for me, so I came here today to thank him."
She pushed the boxes of gifts they had brought toward Mu Xichen and said, "Here are some gifts for Uncle Xu. Please help us hand them over to him."

Standing in the sitting room, Mu Xichen watched the three of them leave. After a while, he took out his phone, dialed Hua Shengyang's number, and waited.
After two rings, Hua Shengyang picked up the call. A second later, he asked, "How is it? Have you found out why Miss Yao suddenly visited Uncle Xu?"
Instead of answering, Mu Xichen asked, "Shengyang, did you know that Younger Sister Ran Ran has a boyfriend?"
Hearing Mu Xichen refer to Yao Ran as 'Younger Sister,' Hua Shengyang fell silent. Thinking the call had been interrupted, Mu Xichen took the phone away from his ear and saw it was still connected.
Frowning slightly, he asked, "Shengyang, are you still there?"
Hua Shengyang's voice came a few seconds later.
"Since when have you called Miss Yao 'Younger Sister Ran Ran'? Since when did you two become so close?" His calm voice carried a hint of surprise and doubt.
Mu Xichen thought about it and replied, "About five minutes ago?"
"..." Hearing his childhood friend's answer, Hua Shengyang was speechless.
He sighed and asked, "So, why is Younger Sister Ran Ran visiting Uncle Xu?"
Remembering the important matter, Mu Xichen replied, "She said she just wanted to thank Uncle Xu for preparing the villa for her. But I think she came here to find out who else was living here besides Uncle Xu. Also, she introduced her boyfriend to me."
On the other side of the phone, Hua Shengyang adjusted his glasses as his eyes flickered with
interest.
"Oh? Then I should meet her boyfriend the next time they visit Uncle Xu."
Sensing the growing interest in his voice, Mu Xichen said, "Shengyang, don't do anything for now. We still don't know what Ruihan plans to do. If we accidentally spoil his plan, that guy will sulk for at least a month."
Recalling Xu Ruihan's tendencies to scold people when he was sulking, Hua Shengyang agreed with Mu Xichen. "Alright. I still have a lot to do in the lab. Remember to update me if you find anything."
