Chapter 361: Chapter 359: Even Someone of Such an Old Age?

Damn it!

Cold sweat instantly squeezed out of Matthew’s forehead, the clump of dirt in his hand was crushed into a ball, which he then punched into the ground. Looking towards the shadow on the high wall, it was still there!

Why now of all times? Couldn’t it be earlier or later?

Around the corner of the warehouse, two shaky figures approached, causing all the viewers to break out in a cold sweat.

What to do, what to do?

Matthew’s mind raced, but he didn’t have Bi Fang’s skills. Facing two armed individuals, he had absolutely no chance of success, and with Bi Fang’s warning, even if he was determined to lead them away, he couldn’t act on it.

The vague figures drew closer, and all Matthew could do was pray that Bi Fang, lying atop the high wall, could take them by surprise and take them out before they could shout—but just as Matthew almost made out the appearance of the two individuals, he looked again at the window on the high wall only to find that the figure prying at the window had vanished!

Did he go in?

Taken aback, Matthew breathed a sigh of relief, but when he looked again, he suddenly noticed something was amiss.

The previously flat window sill seemed uneven, as if something had been added…

Matthew’s breath halted, and he instantly understood everything.

Bi Fang was still lying there!

Such audacity!

For safety’s sake, the drone hadn’t followed Bi Fang, but instead stayed hidden in the bushes with Matthew.

Through the drone’s night vision mode, the viewers could see even more clearly—Bi Fang was indeed lying motionless by the window! He hadn’t gone in, nor had he made any other movements!

Everyone was so shocked they couldn’t speak. In the dark night, barely visible, Bi Fang had paused his movements, attempting to bluff his way past the guards right under their watchful eyes!

Could it be possible?

Watching the guards drawing closer, everyone’s hearts fluttered with unease.

Bi Fang had tried to slip through the window opened by removing two panes of glass, but he didn’t have the ability to “compress his bones,” and with a hole obviously smaller than his frame, he couldn’t possibly get through quickly!

To break the window would undoubtedly be the most foolish method as it would definitely reveal his position, and to take them down quietly and unawares was equally difficult.

After brief consideration, Bi Fang decided to take a gamble.

In the darkness and rain, taking advantage of the guards’ carelessness and panic, Bi Fang lay petrified at the window edge, pressing tightly against the glass, trying to make his body as flat as possible, his breathing barely perceptible, no sign of his chest rising or falling—an act so convincing one might believe he was a corpse!

Matthew’s breathing seemed to pause along with Bi Fang’s, but his heart raced madly as the two individuals drew closer, his oxygen rapidly depleting, he should have felt suffocated by now, yet it was as if he had forgotten the matter.

Here they come, here they come!

Through the drone’s feed, the viewers could clearly see two guards wearing semi-transparent raincoats heading towards another side of the warehouse. They walked directly to the base of the high wall, everyone’s hearts pounding at their peak, nearly bursting from their chests. Bi Fang was right above them, and where a guard should have been was now empty.

Would they notice something?

The guard who was previously knocked unconscious had already been dragged into the bushes by Matthew, a rookie mistake Bi Fang would naturally not expose. Yet, with such open surroundings, it was similarly prone to arousing suspicion.

Yet, seeing no one around, the two guards at the bottom of the wall not only failed to be alert but even mocked the situation.

“Has everyone run off?”

“They’re sure scared, getting this frightened by a small explosion. The last time a rocket launcher exploded right by my feet and I wasn’t this scared. Soma is definitely going to chew us out for not putting out the fire quickly.”

“Enough, I’ve heard you brag so many times before. If it really exploded right by your feet, would you still be able to talk to me now?”

“It’s true!”

Chatting idly, the two gradually walked away.

“Phew!”

A gust of cold wind blew by, sending a shocking chill through the already sweat- and rain-soaked shirt. Matthew gasped for air, and only then did he feel the deadly lack of oxygen, taking deep breaths as his heart was filled with after-fear.

“I actually fooled them.”

[Fuck, that was too thrilling, just like watching a damn ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie!]

[Even movies aren’t this thrilling.]

[I took a sip of room-temperature water, then downed a couple of nitroglycerin tablets.]

[You even rhymed, bro.]

Watching Bi Fang as he got up again to pry the window, the audience couldn’t handle it. It was too much; the thrill was unbearable.

Master Fang had guts for sure. Any normal person would be scared to death in this situation, but only Old Fang dared to play dead under the enemy’s nose. You should know, Bi Fang on the wall was practically a live target; one shot toward the top of the wall by the two men and it would have been over, but he actually managed to fool them!

No wonder he was the man who could counterattack even Black Bear, his mental strength was impressive!

As the two men walked away again, Bi Fang quickly got to his feet, speeding up his movements to remove the third pane of glass from the window and gently placed it aside.

All three panes of glass were removed, Bi Fang grabbed the wooden window frames in two places, and with a forceful pull, a slight dismantling noise was heard, and the whole window was torn down, creating an opening that could accommodate an adult.

The musty smell in the air grew stronger.

Bi Fang stepped into the inside of the warehouse, which was pitch black, and wanted to turn on his flashlight to check the surroundings and see if the floor was even enough for a Fall Protection maneuver.

The beam of light shone, illuminating the cold white reflections off the dark metal cages.

Shouts of surprise rang out, and Bi Fang immediately turned down his flashlight, issuing a low warning.

“Shh! Quiet, everyone!”

Realizing that the newcomer was somewhat different, the crowd in the warehouse quickly quieted down, without causing too much commotion.

Bi Fang waited on the spot for a while to make sure he hadn’t attracted the guard’s attention, then turned to gesture towards the underbrush not far away. The drone immediately rushed over.

The images transmitted by the drone left the audience silent, followed by an erupting rage.

In the camera’s view was not any single beds or straw mats but small iron-wire cages.

Each cage contained two to three, yes, two to three, not one by one, and the increased number of people made the cages seem even smaller. The individuals inside could not stand, only curl up in the corners. Without exception, they were all dirty and disheveled, emaciated, some to the point where it was impossible to tell men from women.

These weren’t humans; they were clearly being treated like livestock!

Bi Fang gasped in shock, as someone who had been human for two lifetimes, he had never seen such a scene.

Directly below him were cages. As Bi Fang dropped down from the high wall, he landed on a cage before carefully making his way to the ground.

Perhaps his unique entrance led the captives to surmise something, and Bi Fang could even see some people’s eyes lit up upon his arrival!

“Young man… who are you…”

An old hoarse voice sounded. Bi Fang turned around and illuminated the area with the dim LED light at the end of his flashlight, immediately feeling surprised.

There was actually an old man?

Bi Fang was puzzled, as normally, human traffickers wouldn’t choose this kind of “goods.” Children, men, women were all possible, but the elderly were the most useless—the old, without the physical attraction, even their organs were hardly of any use.

Bi Fang looked around and noticed that except for the old man, the others also seemed keen to know his identity but kept silent.

This old man was actually the leader!
