Chapter 217 Now Let's End This
Atlas was sitting in front of a fireplace as the cold seeped into his bone, and the stump of his left arm stung. He cradled it, causing Nuliajuk to question with curious blue eyes, ''How did you lose your arm? It must be hard at your age.''
He looked at the young woman and sighed before speaking, ''A Chaos monster bit down and managed to tear it off; it won't heal due to something it injected into the wound.''
Nuliajuk nodded as she responded, ''Will you try to heal it?''
Atlas shook his head and took out the Void Orbs that let out a beautiful azure glow, ''I have to become an Arch Master before I can use it again. When I can, it will give me a new limb, which I've used but deactivated because I wasn't the correct rank.''
''It does make sense; some artifacts are like that,'' Nuliajuk said while stoking the fire.
As she did that, Atlas watched her and noticed her toned figure, but she was still womanly with a thin waist and thick thighs and large boobs. He shook his head before she caught him looking at her again.
Following that, the two of them continued to shelter from the storm; while doing that, Atlas created the Dark One Runes because they were lurking outside, making strange noises. This caused him to grow frustrated.
''Sit down, boy, the creatures won't be able to get in, and the storms are only getting worse,'' Nuliajuk said while cooking some soup.
Atlas agreed with a nod and sat down before activating the Void Realm. Seconds later, he reappeared on the plateau. While standing there, he took out his blade and cast Void Infusion on them.
Afterward, he quickly pilled up the monster total for the Void Golems to see how many he had to take down.
[Void Golem – 000/1000000]
[Void Warrior Golem – 203111/500000]
[Void Golem Commander – 89123/100000]
[Void Golem King – 1/1]
When Atlas heard a Warrior Golem charging him, he smiled before casting Void Blasts on the ground. As that happened, the stone monster tripped into the small crater. As that happened, he dashed forward and cut through its body while casting Void Bomb at an incoming group.
'This should wipe out dozens of the bastards!'
Atlas used Void Step to escape the shockwave, only to cut down another dozen Golems without much effort, 'This is getting easier,' he thought excitedly while killing even more monsters.
He barely managed to block the surprise attack from the Golem Commander, but the sheer force sent him flying back. Determined, Atlas quickly activated his Voidwalker form, transforming into his monster form.
'I can't maintain this for long, but it'll be enough,' he thought as he dashed forward with incredible speed.
His claws gleamed with dark energy as he tore through hundreds of Golems, shredding them apart with unstoppable force. Atlas let out an earth-shattering roar that stunned the surrounding monsters before he pounced and destroyed hundreds more.
Atlas pushed himself beyond his limits, feeling his muscles strain and tear with every powerful strike. His claws ripped through the ranks of Warrior Golems like a whirlwind of destruction.
''If I want to survive in this world,'' he growled to himself, ''I'll need to get stronger—but I can't lose control.''
Each swing of his claws sent waves of energy crashing into the enemy, but even as his strength faltered, his resolve burned brighter. Atlas continued taking out the Warrior and Commander Golems.
An hour passed, and exhaustion gripped him like iron chains. Sensing weakness, the monsters surged forward, unleashing a relentless, ferocious onslaught. Their strikes fell like thunder, each blow driving him deeper into despair.
Following that, Atlas felt the injuries building up as the largest Commander, Golem, towered over him, its azure eyes glowing in excitement, ready to crush him into the dust. He gritted his teeth, summoning the last of his mana.
It flowed through him like a waterfall, igniting a storm within. He could feel the weight of his fatigue and the near-absence of mana, but he refused to give up. ''Keep going until they send me back to the real world,'' he muttered while gritting his teeth.
With a deep breath, Atlas straightened his spine as he looked up at the Golem, a fierce determination burned in his eyes. The world around him blurred, narrowing to the colossal monster before him.
'Use one hundred percent!' With a roar reverberating through the air, he focused all his remaining strength and mana into a powerful Void Punch.
Atlas stepped forward, the ground trembling beneath his feet as he gathered the void mana swirled around him, ''Now let's end this!'' he declared.
Shadows twisted and coiled at his fists, forming a dark sphere that pulsed with power. He could feel the Golem's mocking gaze, but he ignored it. In one explosive motion, Atlas unleashed a Void Punch, the air shuddering with raw force.
The charged-up mana shot forth, a comet of azure light, colliding with the Golem with a bone-rattling impact. The shockwave rippled outward, sending debris flying and echoes of the blast roaring across the plateau.
Atlas watched hundreds of Warrior Golems hurled into the sea below before he was abruptly pulled back to the real world due to the exhaustion kicking in. As he opened his eyes, a wave of exhaustion washed over him.
Before doing anything else, he pulled up the monster tally to see how many Void Golems he killed in his rampage.
[Void Golem – 000/1000000]
[Void Warrior Golem – 161981/500000]
[Void Golem Commander – 87011/100000]
[Void Golem King – 1/1]
'Nice, not long until I finished level three,' he smiled.
Atlas quickly removed a stamina potion from his pack and gulped it down, hoping to regain strength. While doing that, he didn't realize Nuliajuk and Atek were watching him with concerned expressions.
Nuliajuk's eyes narrowed as she fixed her gaze on him, "Where did you just go?" she asked. "You weren't here."
Atlas sighed before explaining most of what he knew about the Void Realm, feeling that Nuliajuk deserved to know after saving his life. Half an hour later, her blue eyes sparkled with excitement as she asked, "Can I join you one day?"
He chuckled at the question but nodded in agreement, realizing it would be beneficial to have some help. The two continued their conversation, with Atlas sharing tales of the monsters he had unlocked so far, each story captivating Nuliajuk even more.
As the days passed, Atlas and Nuliajuk did their best to keep warm. One morning, Atek roused him with a deep, menacing growl. Startled, Atlas sprang up and drew Nightblade just as the boulder blocking their entrance exploded.
Reacting quickly, Atlas cast Void Guard around himself and Nuliajuk as the large chunks of stone struck the azure shield. As the dust settled, a sense of foreboding washed over him, prompting him to mutter, ''Chaos is here; we need to go.''
The atmosphere shifted dramatically as several armored knights charged from the tunnel. As Atlas took in the scene, he realized these were not ordinary knights; they appeared mutated, their living armor writhing and shifting across their bodies like a hideous second skin.
When Nuliajuk saw them, she growled, ''Devils of the north!'' she said before turning to Atlas, ''Get out of here; I will hold them off. They are hunting for you, Chosen One.''
He ignored her before stepping forward and casting a dozen Void Lances that tore through the creepy-looking knights. After that, Atlas used Void Sight on the creature and Atek to figure out their rank.
[Chaos Knight]
[Rank: C+ - 1000 Exp]
[Use magic and the Nightblade; that blade will do damage to them]
[Frostfang Tiger]
[Rank: A - 1000 Exp]
[Don't mess with it; the creature is friendly]
Realizing the gravity of their situation, Atlas readied his blade. But before he could make a move, Atek let out a fierce roar and lunged at the Chaos Knight charging toward Nuliajuk. The Frostfang swiftly took the creature down, ripping through its armor ferociously.
Atlas was about to help the tiger, but a bigger Chaos Knight punched it. Atek flew across the chamber before crashing into the wash with a sickening thud, seeing that he quickly cast Void Infusion over his blade and charged at the remaining knights.
With a surge of power, he tore through their living armor, and each strike burned the Chaos Knight with void mana. In the meantime, Nuliajuk panicked when she saw her companion get attacked.
She lost her temper and transformed, stunning Atlas with the sudden display of her true power. Nuliajuk let out a vicious roar and charged at the creatures, ruthlessly tearing them apart.
'She's a massive polar bear!' he thought in shock and awe
Atlas watched in awe as she unleashed her strength; the enemies didn't stand a chance against her ferocity. With the young woman's help, they pushed the Chaos Knights back to the entrance, thanks to the tight spaces of the corridors.
Just as Nuliajuk swatted away the last three knights, her big blue eyes widened in alarm. Without warning, she grabbed Atlas by the scruff of the neck and dashed back into the cave.
