Hearing the familiar voices, Lin Yi relaxed slightly.

As expected, Ning Che and Qiu Yuluo had arrived.

“Why are you two here?”

“We helped set the fire in Meiguo, then waited here for you.”

“You two always understand me.” Lin Yi pointed at the unconscious Gill. “I’ve captured a live one. Let’s take him back for interrogation.”

“Let’s get going.”

Lin Yi lifted the unconscious Gill, and Qiu Yuluo and Ning Che tied up his hands and feet before stuffing him into the back of their Land Cruiser.

Inside the Freemasons’ building, Lin Yi poured gasoline in every corner, and as they left, he set the place ablaze.

The roaring flames quickly consumed the entire building, lighting up the night sky.

Lin Yi returned to the car, rejoining the two women.

In the back seat, Ning Che climbed onto Lin Yi’s lap and pinched his ear, scolding,n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

“I swear I could shoot you. How dare you go off on your own? Do you know how worried we were?”

“Easy, easy, it hurts…” Lin Yi winced.

“There were too many places to hit, and a large group would’ve been a hassle. Plus, I needed to circle back and strike while they least expected it. It made my escape easier.”

“Do you even realize that your opponent was the Freemasons? Do you know how dangerous that was?”

Lin Yi chuckled. “If my opponents weren’t the Freemasons, I might have found it boring.”

“I’m warning you, if you pull this stunt again, I’ll cut ties with you!”

“Cut ties? Is that a new position we haven’t tried? This position does seem like something new.”

“Damn it! Yuluo is still here, behave yourself!”

“Alright, alright. It wasn’t planned, otherwise, I wouldn’t have gone off alone.” Lin Yi patted Ning Che’s rear, urging her off his lap.

“Let’s go. Mission accomplished, time to head home.”

“We have someone with us. Taking a flight won’t be possible. We’ll need to come up with another solution.”

Given the situation, even with access to a private plane, it wouldn’t work because they’d still need to go through security.

So, figuring out how to get back to Huaxia became a problem.

“Let’s head to the embassy first. The leaders there will help us sort things out,” Ning Che suggested.

“The embassy’s not an option. The Freemasons already have people there. It wouldn’t be safe to go now.”

After thinking for a few seconds, Lin Yi said,

“Drive to the port. We’ll take a ship. In three or four hours, we can reach Qingdao.”

“Won’t the port have security checks too?” Qiu Yuluo asked.

“Not as strict as the airport,” Lin Yi replied.

“Besides, I can arrange for someone to bypass the checks. The only condition is we’ll need a crate to hide this guy.”

“That’s no problem.”

With that, Qiu Yuluo stepped on the gas, heading for the port.

The news of the Freemasons’ building on fire spread quickly.

At Soul National University Hospital, Lee Yongjin stood in the hallway, looking haggard. Just five minutes ago, she had finally sent the company executives on their way.

In a matter of hours, she had come to understand the overwhelming force of pressure bearing down on her.

According to the doctors, Lee Yongchul had no chance of survival. His life was being sustained by a ventilator, and the moment it was removed, he would be dead.

Her father had been transferred to the ICU, and the doctors said his condition was stable.

But after he was discharged, he wouldn’t be able to handle the high-intensity work required to run Samsung.

In other words, the transition of power within the Samsung Group would happen very soon.

The company’s executives, sharp as hunting dogs, had already sensed the internal power shift and swarmed around her like a tide.

Even her second and third uncles, who had always followed Lee Yongchul’s lead, were now suddenly respectful and deferential to her.

The rapid change in dynamics left Lee Yongjin feeling somewhat out of place.

However, she understood that Lin Yi’s actions were not to help her.

He was simply seeking revenge for his girlfriend, and she was merely a tool in his plans.

Whoosh!

Lee Yongjin took a deep breath, her expression hardening.

In that brief breath, the most arrogant woman of the Samsung Lee family had made up her mind to step onto the throne.

At this point, no one could stop her.

Not even her father in the ICU. If necessary, she would ensure he stayed there permanently.

“Ms. Lee!”

While Lee Yongjin was resting, her secretary, Choi Jisung, rushed over.

“The Freemasons’ building here in Rania is on fire!”

“On fire?”

Lee Yongjin’s expression changed. She had already heard about the fires at other Freemason headquarters around the world.

Although both her father and Lee Yongchul were members of the Freemasons, she herself wasn’t, so she hadn’t paid much attention to the matter.

However, the fact that so many Freemason headquarters were being set on fire didn’t seem like a good omen. Someone was clearly targeting them.

Still, it didn’t concern her directly.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

At that moment, her phone rang. The number was unfamiliar, but it made her frown.

She recognized this number—it was Lin Yi’s.

Taking the phone, she walked toward the stairwell before answering.

“What do you want?”

“I’m about to leave Rania via the water. Help me out with the security checks—I don’t want anyone searching me,” Lin Yi said with a chuckle.

“With your abilities, this should be easy, right?”

“You’ve got the guts to pull something like this off, so I doubt Rania’s security could stop you.”

“But I’ve got some things on me that shouldn’t be found. It would be a hassle during the check. That’s why I need President Lee’s assistance.”

Lee Yongjin’s expression turned icy.

“You’re testing me.”

“Why would you say that? I just have limited capabilities.”

“Whatever you’re carrying, the security won’t be able to stop you.” Lee Yongjin replied coldly.

“You’re just trying to see if I’ll help, so you can gauge how much influence we have and make future plans for more cooperation.”

Lin Yi paused for a few seconds, then laughed.

“If you want to see it as a test, I won’t argue. But saying I’m trying to profit off you might be a bit much. From a business perspective, I don’t really consider Samsung much of a threat.”

“Enough.” Lee Yongjin said sharply.

“I’ll help you this time, but it’s the last. Our cooperation ends here.”

“No problem,” Lin Yi said with a smile. “When you take over Samsung, I’ll send a big gift your way.”

“Don’t bother.”

With that, Lee Yongjin hung up, her face filled with exhaustion.

Even though she was on the verge of seizing control of Samsung, if she could, she would rather not be involved with Lin Yi at all.

A man she couldn’t control was nothing short of a ticking time bomb.

If she wasn’t careful, he could blow her to pieces!
