Just as they walked toward the exit, Nicole noticed few people standing beside their car.

" Young master? I don't think they are-" He also looked up to see the group of people waiting beside their vehicle. Sharon and Delphina also noticed it.

" Was there something wrong with the contract?"

" There shouldn't be looking for trouble inside the club. If they are with them, I am afraid it will be hard for us to get out of there." Sharon added. She was very aware of the powers behind this establishment.

It might be because Count opened his mouth and told other's Samuel's identity but from her experience he wasn't such a petty person. Maybe there were others who were listening to their conversation, the matter seemed tricky.

While they were panicking, they heard Samuel's laughter.

" What's with you? Do you think this is a joke!?" Delphina couldn't help but saying it but Sharon seemed to understand why he was so easy going.

" They are my people. Don't worry, they must have came with some good news." Samuel had already deployed his spy network to gather more information about the mysterious woman. He did have to ask Zero about it but he didn't have any choice.

Her guild was among the most powerful in the world even if he and others were suspecting her to be a traitor they are still his people at the moment. This matter didn't have much to do with shadow organization so even Zero wouldn't pay much mind to it.

On the other hand, if they did emerge he could be eighty percent sure that Zero had some connections to them. There were also two rats hidden in this country that he was monitoring, he could use them as a bargaining chip to increase his advantage.

His presence in Paris could make them take the final leap and guide him toward main base or someone from the other side could come to collect them. It was a win win situation for him! It was one of the reason why he wanted to remain low-key at the moment.

" Let's go. We will talk more in the car." Seeing his cheerful appearance. The atmosphere instantly relaxed, he had that sense of security that they couldn't help but feel safe around him. He took few files from them after which he asked them to go back to work. Your journey continues on empire

A few hours wasn't enough to get the full picture of things behind the scenes. Even for the Guild it was not an easy task. So he wanted them to collect everything before the gathering that was happening in a week.

" When will you do the official announcement? It will be a good morale booster for your supporters." He asked. The file was thick so he needed some time to go through with it.

" I don't know right now. I will ask for Count corporation, maybe we can do a good play to blind our enemies." Delphina had her own plans about the issue.

" What's in the file?"

" Everything regarding our new enemy. Just give me a couple of minutes. By the way, I really don't understand what they are thinking. If Sharon received the news wouldn't it be the same for your brother? How come we didn't see him at the club?" Samuel asked. With how dire the stalemate was, he was ninety percent sure that Alan would have approached the count first.

After all the sudden influx of capital in the market was enough to move their enemies. He was sure that they were competent enough to make the same offer to the Count. He was ready for a 'auction' type situation but their enemies were nowhere to be seen? How was that possible?

Delphina smiled coldly but didn't answer him. It was clear that she was hiding something, it might be her trump card that's when her phone rang. She frowned slightly looking at the number but still she decided to pick up the call.

" Why are you calling me right now?" She asked with a hint of worry in her tone. Despite the absence of caller ID, she was aware of the identity of the other party.

" Is that how you should talk to me? For your half a million dollar a night, I have to accompany your trash brother. You know, even after taking special medicine, he wasn't able to get it up for half an hour! I was uncomfortable to death acting like I like him to death!" It wasn't loud but Samuel and Nicole who were sitting in the back with her could hear her.

Nicole instantly blushed when she heard it. The other party was not short with their words describing the scene in detail. Samuel on the other hand turned to look at her face with astonishment. He instantly connected the dot why her brother wasn't there. It could be said that Delphina was much more cunning that he expected!

" I don't want to hear the details! Just do your job properly." Delphina was aware that the quiet car was loud enough for their conversation to be heard by others.

" Alright, alright. But I wanted to report that there was an unexpected incident few hours ago. He received a call in the middle and it sounded important. He even flattered the other party which was surprising but in the end, he turned away from it to spend some time with me. Hahaha" The sweet laughter was like she was gloating about her accomplishment.

" Well, continue to pester him. It's best to let him not have any energy to care about other things for a period of time. Do the job right and I will double your fee."

" You said it! Don't worry, even if I sit there motionlessly, he will not suspect anything. Delp, I really can't figure it out why would you treat such a person as your opponent." It seemed like the social flower and Delphina had some history.

" We are just in a contractual relationship. Don't try to fish for more information. It's not like I don't know how you make your living." Delphina wasn't in the mood to entertain other party's enquiries. She was cold with her until the end.

" Okay, okay, ruthless woman. It was just a one time thing, why do you have to hold a grudge against me? Still I will stop talking before you started yelling, just remember to send the money on time." The other party hung up after a short laugh. Delphina didn't get to have the last word which seemed to put her on edge.

Samuel on the other hand was dumbfounded, he didn't expect her to be ruthless enough to employ the oldest trap in the world, the honey-pot scheme! He investigated his enemies but he also find that it was important for him to know about his allies too! Women are much more vengeful than any man ever could, he didn't want to offend such a character!

" Well, now you know the reason. I don't think I have to say anything more about it. Sooner or later, my brother would die on the belly of a woman, that's just the way he is. Just imagine what would happen if the group falls under his hand." She sighed. From the very first moment, she caught her brother wasting his life away that she knew she had to be the one to carry the burden of family business.

" I think I get the picture now." Samuel said putting aside the file. He knew what was happening behind the scenes.

" What's the matter?" Delphina and Sharon asked at the same time. They saw him flip through the whole file in couple of minutes before his face turned serious.

" As the shenanigans of your brother, it's safe to say that the whole circle knows about him. As for the matter of the mysterious girl, she is someone from the Hermes family. I don't think she didn't actually know the truth about your brother. It's clear why they invested so much in him." Samuel's words were like thunder to them.

Hearing Hermes family was the mysterious supporter of her brother. Her face turned ugly, she finally knew why the stranger was so willing to throw away money like water. It was obvious they were planning something nefarious!

" You don't think that-" Delphina was shocked when he nodded before she even finished her conjecture.

" They are aiming for larger pie of your LVHM Group. It's clear as day."

" But this woman was introduced to him by my father. As far as I know, there is no chance for him to invite these snakes in the succession war." Delphina couldn't figure out what her father was thinking. Was she so unworthy in his eyes that he would rather destroy his legacy than to pass it on to her?

" What if it's all a trick? Assuming your father doesn't have much liquid money lying around to help your brother. Therefore, he took the risk and introduced this Hermes family knowing that they would do anything to get a share of LVHM Group. He must have a way to drive these outside forces once the war was won." Samuel didn't believe that Bernard was a fool.

His prestige as a cunning fox was well known in business circles. Hermes family might be a tool for his own gain. They still didn't have a clear understand of his ways.

"...." Delphina took a breath of cold air thinking that her father really was hiding his strengths well.

" I think you should increase your surveillance and see what your father had been upto prior to Hermes family's involvement. I will also ask my people to look closely into it." Samuel was sure of it. If they could figure out Bernard's secret, they would have more leverage to talk to him.

" Alright. I will pay close attention to this matter." Delphina was a little worried. After all, The Group was something that was a product of hard work of several generation of Arjo Family. It must not fall into hands of other people!

The atmosphere inside the car turned solemn. They were happy with their small victory but they also knew it was just the tip of the iceberg. He handed the file to her to see what she could come up with.
