Chapter 1056 The Transformation Hall wizards' foolish scheme
From MC's Perspective:
The Following Day,Nôv(el)B\\jnn
I woke up with a start, the soft morning sunlight streaming through the window. After getting out of the bed, I started doing my morning routine, moving through the familiar motions with a sense of routine. While doing that, I kept my eyes around the surroundings, scanning the room for any signs of abnormality.
As usual, the mechanical voice sounded in my mind, reminding me that someone was still watching over me. It was a constant reminder of the invisible presence that had been following me since I left the dean tower.
Twenty minutes later,
After changing into my uniform clothes, I left the room and walked out of the dorm building. I had a vague feeling that the Wizards from the Transformation Hall would do something today.
They seemed dissatisfied yesterday, and I could sense a growing tension in the air. Shaking my head, I continued walking on. No matter what they did, they couldn't attack me inside the academy. Unless they wanted the same fate as Craig Steel.
Soon, I reached the Sub-Taboo Hall. There were wizard students going about their business, their faces a mix of curiosity and fear. I cast a glance at them before going inside.
On the other hand, the wizard students who had seen Vincent Carey yesterday had silently left as well. They didn't want any interaction with him, avoiding him like the plague.
I started walking along the corridor, my footsteps echoing in the quiet hallway. When I got closer to the Sub-Taboo Hall, I saw there were more Wizard Students than usual standing outside the hall.
Which brought me great displeasure. My appearance immediately attracted everyone's attention.
"He is here!"
"Go and inform the Seniors"
"Today he won't escape easily"
"Senior Damon will be here shortly."
The Wizard Students communicated with each other, their voices filled with excitement and anticipation. It was clear that they were planning something, and I knew I would need to be prepared.
Their behavior piqued my curiosity. I cast a glance at everyone before walking in front of the Hall. Then I scanned my ID and walked inside, my heart pounding with anticipation.
I appeared inside the hall, the air thick with tension. I looked around and found no one was inside. It was a strange sight, considering the commotion outside. I sat on the sofa and started to read the online news, trying to distract myself from the growing unease.
First, I checked the news about the Capital. Several Headlines appeared on the news feed, all of them about the Steel Family. A hint of helplessness flashed in my eyes as I read about the fallout of the recent events.
But it couldn't be helped. It had already been done. The Steel Family Wizards couldn't reverse back the situation. Shaking my head, I continued to read the online articles, trying to find some comfort in the other new articles.
Meanwhile,
Damon Burkey arrived at the Sub-Taboo Hall, his arrival causing a commotion among the Wizard Students. He saw the Wizard Students from his hall were already there, their faces filled with excitement and anticipation.
"Senior brother Damon is here!"
"Wow, he is not alone."
"Other Senior Brothers are with him as well."
The Wizard Students communicated with each other, their voices filled with admiration and respect. Damon was not alone. He had brought other True House Wizards with him, their presence adding to the growing sense of danger.
After nodding at his fellow members, Damon turned towards the Sub-Taboo Hall, a proud smile on his face. Yesterday, he had only watched Vincent Carey slip away. It wouldn't happen this time. He was ready to confront him, and this time, he would not let him escape.
Damon Burkey thought for a moment before turning towards the person next to him.
"Senior brother Alex, I don't think he would quietly follow us," he said, his voice filled with concern.
The person named Alex was a Level-6 Wizard, but he was older than Damon. He was tall with brown short hair and eyes, his skin tone fair and smooth.
Hearing Damon's words, Alex's eyes turned cold.
"Junior brother, don't worry. I don't think he would continue to stay inside the academy. Besides, other members have hindered his Senior Sister Carolina Slate. She is currently surrounded by our members," Alex said, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.
Hearing that, a look of understanding dawned on Damon's eyes. He hadn't expected other members to trouble Carolina Slate. Now he was sure that Vincent Carey would listen to them.
Alex, on the other hand, sent a message to the other members. He wanted them to take Carolina Slate to a remote area inside the academy, a place with less student traffic. He believed that Vincent Carey would come to save her, and he was determined to lure him into a trap.
"Let's wait for a few minutes here," Alex said to Damon, his voice low and menacing.
Damon nodded his head at him, his eyes filled with anticipation. The other members from the hall stood behind them, their faces a mixture of fear and excitement. Little did they know, everyone was keeping an eye on their actions.
Including the Wizard Students from the other halls. Especially the council elders of the various Wizard Halls. The council elders held different opinions, since the dean hadn't told the truth about the incident with Craig Steel.
No one wanted to make a comment on it, fearing the consequences. But there were exceptions, the Council elders of the Transformation Hall felt a deep sense of injustice.
Because Craig Steel didn't have a history of crimes. So they were confused by the actions taken by the dean of the academy, especially dealing with the Steel Family in the Capital.
Yet the Magic Lords of the Transformation Hall were quite clear. They had watched the interrogation of Craig Steel, and the Steel Family's connection to the Royal Force Hall Academy was quite clear. Even the Steel Family Head, Rodney, had confessed his sin, which had also been seen by the Magic Lords. There was no way they could show support in this matter.
It was the dean's focus on removing other hidden pawns that was keeping the Magic Lords silent. If they wanted, they could have shared the news, but it might alert the bad apples. So the Magic Lords were not going to involve themselves in this issue, preferring to remain in the shadows.
Inside the Sub-Taboo Hall:
About an hour later, I received a text message. Seeing that it was from Sister Carolina, my heart skipped a beat. I opened the message to read it, my eyes widening in shock.
The next second, my eyes turned cold.
[We have surrounded your Senior sister. If you want to see her alright, come to this place. Loc: Forbidden Teleportation Platform.]
I sat up straight, my hands clenched into fists.
"Who could be?" I grumbled, my voice filled with anger.
I thought people wouldn't cross the line. But I was wrong. Do they really want to start an internal fight between the Wizard Halls?
I couldn't help but think of the Transformation Hall Wizards. There was a high possibility that they were behind this act, their jealousy and resentment fueling their actions. I calmed down my heart, taking deep breaths to control my anger.
Then I started to ponder. I guessed they didn't have the guts to attack her inside the academy. In the worst case, they might embarrass her or continue to harass her in the future.
Senior Gilbert wasn't here to protect her. So I would have to teach them a lesson.
Meanwhile,
Carolina Slate found herself encircled by a group of male and female wizards from the Transformation Hall. She knew instantly what this was about.
At first, Carolina considered confronting them. But when she realized they were from the True House, she reconsidered. Their reputation was well-known, and she wasn't prepared to face their might.
Reluctantly, she followed them to their destination. Carolina bit her lip, her mind racing. She suspected their intentions – to force Vincent to admit his mistake and release Craig Steel.
She found their tactics absurdly juvenile, but fear wasn't a factor. As long as they remained within the academy, their harassment was a minor inconvenience.
The group drew closer to the forbidden area, a desolate expanse marked by towering, gnarled trees and an eerie silence. Behind them, a teleportation tower stood sentinel, a forbidden symbol to wizard students.
The True House wizards had chosen this location with deliberate intent. Not far away, a group of Level-5 Core House wizards stood guard, their eyes scanning the perimeter. Any intruder from another hall would be immediately reported to their Senior Students.
Unbeknownst to the True House wizards, a handful of curious wizards from other halls had followed them, their interest piqued by the unusual gathering.
Several of the curious wizards had already followed the True House group from the Sub-Taboo Hall, suspecting they were up to something nefarious. Their suspicions had proven correct, leading them to this secluded location.
However, the True House wizards were everywhere, forming a tight circle that obscured the scene beyond. The onlookers could only speculate about what was happening on the other side.
