Chapter 326 Mental Demon
"I said, 'Shut up, bitch!'"
Noah raised his head and looked at her with a disgusted look in his eyes. 'Evelyn' jumped back in fear and looked at Noah with wariness and fear.
There were two reasons for her fear, one being the look in his eyes. He was looking at her like she was not even worth looking at. The other thing that made her shiver in dread was his eyes itself.
They did not resemble the eyes of a human at all. Even though his irises gleamed like molten gold, his radiant orbs of eyes seemed to hold the secrets of the ages within their depths like before. His both irises swirled with hues of amber, topaz, and fiery orange.
In the middle of all that, his elongated pupils looked at her without moving in the slightest. His eyes resembled that of a dragon, rather than that of a human.
Hidden behind all the brilliance and wisdom, there was a ferocious beast that was waiting to be released and tear the woman apart limb by limb.
Seeing the look in his eyes, 'Evelyn' staggered back in fear. Noah, on the other hand, took a step forward towards her. "I was wondering what kind of tricks you might use, but to think that you would try to tarnish such a precious memory of mine like that."
"Kuakk!" 'Evelyn's' eyes shook when Noah suddenly appeared beside her, his hand moved and raised her in the air, as she choked in his grasp.
"Why… Cough! Why are you doing this?" She gasped for air as she tried to speak, her feet dangling in the air. "I am your Evelyn, Noah. To think you would want to kill me.."
Tears streamed down her face as she looked at Noah with a pained look in her eyes. Sensing the grip on her neck loosening, she gleamed in her heart with happiness.
"You are not happy with killing me once?" She started to push more and more.
"You are really trying your luck here, you demon." Noah suddenly squeezed hard on her neck making her eyes widen in shock. It was then she saw his indifference in her eyes. She realized that she did not have the slightest control over the boy from the start.
"You think, I won't recognize the woman I loved and watched die thousands of times over and over again." There was an unnatural emptiness in Noah's voice as he spoke those words.

"What do you want to do now?" suddenly 'Evelyn, who had been struggling in Noah's grip, started squirming in her spot and silently looked at him with an indifferent gaze.
"I will give you a chance to fight back because you helped me recall something I had long forgotten in my long sorrow-filled journey."
*thud*
Noah released the rip of his hold and let the woman fall without any care. She looked at him in wariness after creating some distance between them.
"I do not know what you are planning but I will not let this opportunity slip by." Suddenly 'Evelyn' started to change shapes right in front of Noah's eyes. He watched as her body wriggled; there was a giant worm under her skin and her form started to change.
Noah stood face to face with the true form of his mental demon. In front of him stood him the exact copy of himself with the only difference being the eyes that were as black as the abyss.
"How does it feel to face yourself?" The demon asked with a feral smile on its face as a dark sword materialized in its hands.
Noah silently looked ahead with the same calm look on his face, which seemed to annoy the demon.
"You know even though I said all those things to rile you up they were true at some point." The demon lunged forward using Noah's movement techniques while at the same time, he started casting some spells.
"I know" Noah replied calmly before materializing a sword of his own. He took the initial stance of his dawn series sword technique.
"Do You think there Is a sun here?" The Demon scowled as he started circling Noah launching several fireballs at the same time.
*BOOM!*
The demon grinned in satisfaction as he watched his attacks connecting to the man but soon his grin vanished when the smoke settled and Noah emerged unharmed.
Around his body was a transparent barrier that protected him from the blast.
"Do you think I do not know what I am capable of doing and what I am not?" As soon as Noah said those words, the darkness around them started to recede by a sharp and warm glow.
The next second they were standing in the middle of snow mountains and above the two of them at its peak stood a glowing sun spreading its warmth all around the area. The demon's face turned serious.
"I will kill you and take over everything you have!" The demon lunged forward with a deafening roar; he threw his sword away and changed his hands to a claw-shaped one. Closing it on Noah the demon slashed his claws mercilessly at Noah.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Morning Star Thrust" Noah calmly took a step forward, he drew his sword from its sheath and charged the attack. His sword drew upon the radiance of the sun seeping it all into the blade.
The moment his blade left the sheath, the same glow and radiance started to spread in the direction of the demon. The golden hue pierced the demon's chest and other vital organs.
"Arghh!" With his teeth gritted, the demon hissed in pain. He looked down only to see the areas he was penetrated were still affected with scorching heat marks burning him from the inside, slowly and painfully.
"Heh! You did not use your soul to overwhelm me.." The demon spoke through the pain without any expression besides pain on his face. "I do not think you are the kind of person who would underestimate their opponent or play with them unless you want to torture them…. Why?"
*Shhha!*
"As I said before, I gave you a chance only because you made me realize something," lacing his sword back in its sheath Noah replied.
"What is that?" he asked seeing his body start to crumble apart like particles of dust.
"Do you know how I knew you were not Evelyn, even when you were able to copy her aura as well?" Seeing the demon shaking his head he continued, "I knew you were not Evelyn because she never left me. She had always been with me and she will always be forever and ever. I will not let her leave me even if she wants to."
Noah's eyes started swirling with an intense wave of obsession as the skin on his forehead started to wiggle. Soon a bead-sized, green seed appeared out of nowhere in the middle of his eyebrows before it wriggled back inside, shifting his forehead back to normal.
"What an obsessive bastard— " The demon started to laugh through his pain and crumbled into fine dust, drifting in the air. A warm smile appeared on Noah's face before he turned. Then all of a sudden his hair started to gain a whitish shade, the changes were not just in his hair, all the other parts of his body started to change as well.
"Looks like it's time." Those words echoed in the empty area before Noah also disappeared from the space.
