Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 456 Presentation Day

"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the Valenzia Rookie Adventurer Competition's presentation day! Today is the perfect day to savor the intense moments our young adventurers experienced while hunting, don't you think? Make sure you have your snacks ready and hold on tight to your seats as we present a short compilation of some of the greatest hunts by those who made it into the top ten!"

Bart's vibrant yet professional voice reverberated across the arena, eliciting thunderous cheers from the excited crowd.

Most of them even attended the somewhat boring opening ceremony.

Naturally, they would be going crazy on the presentation day

Meanwhile, on the stage, multiple stations of varying quality were arranged spaciously.

These were private viewing rooms designed to provide the competitors with an optimal viewing experience.

Shye, as one of the four who was perceived to have the highest probability of winning the event, was naturally in one of the more comfortable ones.

Inside his station, there was a mana-powered air conditioner, a plush chair, a modest-sized blackwood table beside it, a private restroom, and a luxurious bed for him to lie down on while watching the presentations on the huge holographic screen.

Additionally, there were various snacks and beverages available for him to enjoy whenever he wished.

His viewing station was far more luxurious compared to the others, which only had a plush chair, a small regular table, a limited supply of water and common snacks, and a mana-powered fan.

…Drinking champagne while snacking on some small pieces of raw fish dipped in special sauce, Shye pondered about where he should sell the Ember Wyvern's corpse.

His first choice was the Materials' Motherland, a shop he had been in contact with since the beginning.

However, after checking other shops in Valenzia City, he found out that although Materials' Motherland was high up the ranking, it didn't have any branches in other regions.

Still, he didn't immediately give up on it as he liked how the shop operated.

Fortunately, the shop's expansion to other regions was already in progress.

Thus, Shye only needed to consider whether he should establish a partnership with the shop, as he was confident that if he proposed it, they would eagerly welcome him with open arms.

He was particularly interested in whether the shop would open branches in other regions because, despite his decision to remain in Valenzia and help the region thrive, quests for mithril-ranked adventurers and above could take place in adventurer zones in other regions.

It would simply be way too inconvenient if he had to return to Valenzia every time he needed to buy or sell something at the shop.

Partnerships provide long-term benefits for both the shop and the adventurer so he had to carefully mull about such things.

However, his thoughts were abruptly cut off as his attention was captured by the holographic screen that suddenly lit up.

Soon after, a one-hour recording began to play, showcasing the glorious hunts of those who made it into the top ten.

The video also served as the announcement of the results, as each rookie who made the list had their name, total points, and final ranking displayed before the highlights of their hunts were shown sequentially.

Naturally, everyone desired to be the winner, so those who saw their names on the recording experienced a bittersweet feeling in their hearts.

Listening to the crowd's enthusiastic cheers as their triumphant moments of slaying dangerous monsters were showcased on the screen was truly exhilarating.

However, many couldn't help but ponder how much more glorious it would be if their videos were saved for the last presentation.

Unfortunately, this year, such a thing would only happen in their thoughts as their final rankings were already decided.

Your journey continues with empire

With a wistful smile, the rookies ranked tenth to sixth sighed deeply, choosing to savor the brief moment their highlights were showcased.

'Well, at least I had my moment.' was the thought that resonated in their minds.

It was true, though, as hundreds of rookies didn't even have the chance to experience such a thing.

Heck, some of them even had to attend the event despite already failing in their very first hunt due to nervousness.

Consoling themselves with such thoughts, the tenth to sixth-ranked rookies recovered their moods.

After all, despite not winning the event, they undoubtedly brought glory and fame to their cities.

Moreover, the knowledge that the final rankings of all the rookies would be released later further lifted their spirits, as seeing their names next to a high ranking on the list would truly be a sight to behold.

An hour later, the recording finally finished playing.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Were you not entertained?! Please give another round of applause to this year's tenth to sixth-ranked rookies!"

Bart's energetic voice echoed once again, yet the master host contained his excitement to suitable levels.

He knew that he needed to build anticipation for the upcoming recordings of the top five's solo hunts.

…After the thunderous cheers died down, Bart motioned for one of the arena staff to play the next recording.

Shortly after, the holographic screen illuminated once again, prompting excited cheers from the crowd even though the recording had barely begun.

Well, the name of a well-known rookie, Jamal Hydra, was displayed on the screen so their cheers were understandable.

Only, the man himself was not pleased at all, after all, didn't this mean he was fifth?

Just when Jamal was about to stand up to question the rankings, Bart's voice sounded once more:

"Everyone, apologies for the interruption. However, please be aware that the sequence of the recordings does not correspond to the rankings of the top five, as their final rankings will be announced much later."

Hearing Bart's words, Jamal Hydra sat back down.

He then took one deep breath to calm his slightly distressed heart.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

His frustration stemmed from the fact that four individuals were perceived to have the highest probability of winning the tournament.

If he ended up ranking fifth, it would indicate that he was the weakest among the four and that someone had unexpectedly surpassed him to claim his place.

Naturally, Jamal would have a hard time believing such a thing.

Regarding the unexpected dark horse, the irritating individual glared directly at Shye's viewing station, a mocking smile spread across his face.

"Heh, Crowley, relish your last moments as the so-called strongest of our generation, because in a few hours, the crown will return to its rightful owner!"
