Fardao and Everlasting Jiang teleported to the ancient battlefield. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
“Buzz.” Another figure appeared, filling the world with boundless divinity.
It seemed as if a god was descending to the mortal world. Visual phenomena such as golden springs and spiritual creatures emerged. This divinity could rid the world of impurities, helping trees and rocks become sentient and full of spirituality...
Cultivators were in awe because even emperors and desolate gods wanted to be bathed in it. This figure didn’t linger around for long but people saw the image of a majestic peak among a mountain range.
It posed there like a lamp among the night, guiding all future descendants. It didn’t exude any unwanted pressure onto the crowd.
“North Kun God!” Someone shouted. [1]
He only appeared briefly and headed in the ancient battlefield’s direction, or so it seemed. He moved too fast for others to tell.
“He’s out too.” Those affected by his appearance the most were members of Desolate Frontier or affiliates.
Today, two of their primal ancestors appeared - North Kun God and Everlasting Jiang. Everlasting Jiang was the main pillar of Desolate Frontier ever since Desolate Ancestor left after her immortal ascension.
Of course, even in his absence, Desolate Frontier still had successors. North Kun God was one of them.
According to the legends, Desolate Ancestor took in two disciples - North Kun God being the second. Both were supreme geniuses and walked on different paths.
The first disciple chose the imperial path while North Kun God utilized the desolate god path. Some speculated Desolate Ancestor took in the second disciple to test the desolate god path.
He didn’t let her down, having a solid dao foundation and fast cultivation speed. Although his dao debut was later, he caught up to Fairy Companions at the return stage.
His senior brother was Xianting, praised by some as the greatest genius in history. Unfortunately, he was ambushed by Supreme Heaven and died at a young age. Among the participants was Seventy-two Origin Ancestor.
Nevertheless, North Kun God still achieved enough to be considered worthy of his master. He made it as far on this path as anyone in history.
The list of his peers only had a few names - Fardao, Everlasting Jiang, Tenacious, and Fairy Companions. He outperformed them by taking the least amount of time to reach the return stage.
“Pop!” As he entered the battlefield, a ripple in God Frontier pulsed through space and time.
No one noticed this aura before the owner made it to the ancient battlefield. Only emperors and primal ancestors noticed its unique nature.
“Tenacious, it’s Tenacious!” An emperor said.
“Tenacious too? Will he start a fight? That’s two on two then.” Someone whispered.
“I don’t think so, they will only be observing Fardao and Everlasting Jiang taking it to the limit. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for them, no one else can excavate this path.” The emperor shook his head.
Sure enough, everyone heard a heavy creak from an unknown source. This affected all of Old World as peaks soared to the sky. In the center was a palace made out of a timeworn bronze metal.
It seemed to be just one whole block crafted into this shape. On the surface were naturally formed dao runes.
“Immortal Bronze Palace!” This attracted everyone’s attention.
“Ancestors.” Cultivators standing on the peaks prostrated to show respect.
This palace was home to two cultivators - Fairy Companions. The duo founded this sect and resided in this particular palace sharing the same name with the sect.
“Clank!” A sword and saber let out a resonating hymn, cutting a path into the sky. Two figures walked on it with imperceptible speed, heading for the ancient battlefield.
Just catching a glimpse of their figures left everyone with a deep impression, thinking that their title was perfect. No other characters could describe them as aptly.
“Fairy Companions are out of their meditation.” Someone said.
“This is their first appearance since the return stage.” A cultivator with more information murmured.
1. Kun here is Mount Kunlun, not Kun as in Kun Peng ☜
