Deviant: No Longer Human

Chapter 618: Angry Wenxi! Furious Yanyan!

16th November, Magic City — Evening!

The Wang family villa was quiet… or so it appeared from the outside. Inside, however, the chaos was in full swing.

BONK!

"Ah… Daddy! Make her stop!"

At that moment, Yue was perched on the edge of the bed, dressed properly for once, looking slightly dazed. Across from her, Anran was grinning ear-to-ear, ladling rice pudding into Yue's mouth with an enthusiasm that bordered on maniacal.

Yue's cheeks were stuffed full of it, but her real problem wasn't her mother's overzealous feeding. No, the true menace was standing right behind her, wielding a wooden spatula like a sword.

BONK!

"Daddy, huh? Slept with him one time and now you're acting all spoiled?" Wenxi said with a smirk, her grip on the spatula tightening as she delivered another perfectly aimed whack.

BONK!

"Ow!" Yue yelped, rubbing her head, her face full of pudding and outrage. "Wenxi, if you hit me again, I swear I'll—"

BONK! .net

"Oh, yeah?" Wenxi scoffed, unfazed. "And what happened to 'we'll both sleep with him together,' huh?"

Yue's face turned red, not from the hits, but from the memory. "That was six years ago, Wenxi! How is that even relevant?"

BONK!

"Wenxi!" Yue shouted, clutching her head. Today of all days, her usually calm sister had transformed into an avenging fury with no chill whatsoever, much to Wang Xiao's silent amusement from the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Anran, completely unbothered, continued shoving spoonfuls of pudding into Yue's mouth. "Hehe ~ eat, eat! You need to keep your strength up!"

"M-Mom—num—mmph!" Yue tried to protest, her voice muffled as she attempted to swallow around the onslaught of pudding and fend off the spatula attacks at the same time.

Anran only smiled wider. Just yesterday she'd been convinced Yue was in some big trouble, but today her little girl had surprised everyone by announcing some very… 'delightful' news.

Overcome with excitement, Anran had immediately made sweets to celebrate—and had somehow even roped Wenxi into helping. Only when the treats were upstairs and halfway down Yue's throat did Wenxi realize what, exactly, they were celebrating.

"Wait… why the special treatment?" Wenxi had asked, suspicious.

"Oh, didn't you hear?" Anran had replied casually. "Yue slept with Wang Xiao!"

And with that, the chaos had begun.

Wenxi's face had turned as red as a firecracker, her indignation sizzling in every glare. Not only had her sister beaten her to it, but she'd unknowingly helped make the treats to celebrate it.

Too much to handle? Just a bit.

From the doorway, Wang Xueying and Wang Mei watched the commotion in bewildered silence. They exchanged glances, clearly wondering if they'd missed some kind of family announcement—or if this was just another typical day.

As the sisters exchanged confused glances, Wang Xiao finally sighed, "Alright, Wenxi, you've hit her enough. Give your sister's poor head a rest."

Wenxi froze, betrayed. "Daddy! This is 'our' fight—don't get in the middle!" she protested, clutching her spatula with rebellion.

Wang Xiao shook his head, unfazed. "If you keep whacking her like that, she might actually become dumb…"

Wenxi gritted her teeth, stomping her foot in frustration. "Maybe that'd be better! At least then I wouldn't have to live with the fact that she got to you first!"

Yue's face flushed pink, but she kept her head down, spooning another mouthful of pudding with as much innocence as she could muster.

But Wang Xiao blinked, surprised. "You know," he said, "she wasn't the first."

*!!"

"Huh?" Wenxi's jaw dropped.

"Eh?" Yue glanced up in surprise, a spoon halfway to her mouth.

Both sisters stared at him, equally floored. If Yue wasn't the first, then who was? Their minds raced through the options. Lanlan? No way. Yanyan? Also unlikely, since she was practically fighting for her life just to get through a portal at the moment.

"Daddyyyyyyy! Let me at her—I'm gonna tear her to pieces!" At that very moment, Yanyan, halfway through a small portal, was trying to lunge at Yue, held back only by Wang Xiao's hand pressed firmly against her forehead. Her eyes were wild, like a hungry ghost.

Having just learned Yue had not only gotten to Wang Xiao first but had done so in her own room, Yanyan was easily the most furious of them all. She wriggled in his grasp like a trapped beast.

Wang Xiao gave her a flat look. "Calm down, Yanyan. And anyway," he said, keeping a steady grip on her, "the first was actually Fiona."

"What!?"

"..."

"..."

Silence fell over the room.

"F-Fiona…?" Wenxi repeated, her face a picture of horror.

Yue, spoon frozen midair, stared at him with a mixture of shock and disbelief. Fiona? That girl, the first? How was that even possible?

If there were a list of his daughters ranked by who had the best relationship with him, Fiona would rank dead last.

Even Yanyan stopped struggling, her jaw dropping in shock.

Meanwhile, Anran simply looked on with a knowing smile, unfazed.

Wang Xiao shrugged, unbothered. "If you three have any issues with it, feel free to consult her personally."

"!!!"

Instantly, all three girls shivered, their faces going pale, and they shook their heads furiously in unison. 'Consult her personally?' Fiona only acted like a girl around Wang Xiao.

To everyone else, she was the reincarnation of death itself, a girl who barely recognized her own siblings, let alone anyone else.

She had a reputation of pure terror, and the idea of confronting her sent chills down their spines.

In perfect harmony, all three of them mumbled, "Never mind."

Even though Yanyan had once been the only one able to stop Fiona's rampage when Wang Xiao wasn't around, she wouldn't dare try it again unless her life depended on it.

She shot a look of reluctant respect toward her father, wisely deciding to let go of her vengeance for the moment.

But Wenxi? She was not so easily satisfied.

BONK!

"Wha—?"

Another whack landed on Yue's head, making her whirl around, startled. "Why'd you hit me again?" she cried, looking at Wenxi in disbelief. "Didn't you hear him? I wasn't even the first!"

Wenxi just grinned, a mischievous gleam in her eye. "Oh, I heard. I'm just taking out my frustration… please bear with me, dear sister."

"Huh?" Yue blinked, stunned. Bear with her?

Her patience finally snapped. Gritting her teeth, Yue snatched the spatula out of Wenxi's hands.

But, predictably, the outcome?

A few minutes later…

Whoosh!

"Daddy, save me!" Yue lunged toward Wang Xiao, clutching him in desperation, her eyes brimming with tears as she hid behind him. Wenxi, standing triumphantly behind her, wore the grin of a villain in a drama.

Wang Xiao shook his head, sighing as he patted Yue's head. "Alright, everyone, enough bullying her for today. Go on, give her a break."

Wenxi gave a huff of annoyance, tossing the spatula aside, "Fine, I'm done." She crossed her arms, shooting Yue one last glare before sauntering off.

Anran, dusted off her hands and followed.

Meanwhile, Wang Xueying and Wang Mei, still lurking at the door, exchanged glances, their brows furrowed in utter bewilderment.

They'd caught pieces of the conversation, sure, but the whole situation seemed so… impossible, they were left questioning reality itself.

"Sleeping with a sister… that's already crazy." Xueying thought, her expression one of disbelief. "But… with a daughter?"

The two sisters backed away from the door slowly, deciding that perhaps some questions were better left unanswered.
