Apocalypse - Evil Shelter System

Chapter 378 Agile Zombies

The young man had a plain appearance and a slim build. He carried a longsword on his back, and his clothes were tattered and worn.

"Run!" The young man yelled desperately, fleeing with all his might.

As he ran, he shouted at the zombies chasing him.

"Roar, roar!"

The zombies roared excitedly, relentlessly pursuing the young man like ravenous wolves.

The young man was acutely aware of this, his eyes flickering with anxiety. While running, he cried out, "Someone help me!"

This young man's name was Dennis.

He had been bitten by a zombie last night and had passed out.

When he woke up this morning, he found himself lying on a car, covered with a blanket.

"Huh? Where am I?" Dennis looked around, realizing he was in the wilderness.

"Roar!"

At that moment, the sound of roaring came from ahead, sending chills down his spine.

Dennis's heart skipped a beat, and he quickly hid in a bush.

He cautiously poked his head out to observe the situation. Before him was a horde of zombies, furiously chasing another young man.

"Zombies..." Dennis sighed in relief.

He had thought it was a monster, nearly scaring him to death.

"Roar, roar!"

The zombie roars grew closer, and Dennis's face paled. He quickly darted into a nearby house.

"Bang!"

The door suddenly burst open, and several zombies rushed in.

"Damn it!" Dennis cursed, quickly hiding in the bathroom.

Soon, chaotic footsteps echoed outside.

Shortly after, a group of mutated zombies entered.

Dennis peered out through the bathroom's glass window and saw that there were about thirty zombies.

They were searching for the young man who had entered earlier.

Dennis contemplated ambushing the zombies but, looking at the cramped space of the bathroom, he decided against it.

"Roar, roar, roar!"

At that moment, a high-level mutant dog burst into the bathroom. It had caught Dennis's scent and lunged at him, baring its teeth and claws.

"Die!" Dennis snorted, clenching his right fist and smashing it into the mutant dog's neck.

Bang—

The high-level mutant dog died instantly, collapsing to the floor motionless.

After dealing with the dog, Dennis quickly ran out of the bathroom, dragging the dead mutant dog to a corner and burying it. He then resumed observing the situation outside.

Bang!

Squish!

Outside, the zombies continued to search for the young man.

"Damn it!" Dennis cursed under his breath and silently exited the bathroom.

While the zombies were distracted, he moved swiftly and quietly towards them.

Stopping a short distance away, Dennis held his breath and moved slowly.

Once close enough, he took a deep breath and let out a thunderous shout, smashing his fist into the back of a zombie.

Squish!

The heavy punch landed squarely on the zombie's spine.

Instantly, the zombie let out a wail, its massive body swaying before it crashed to the ground.

Not stopping there, Dennis clenched his left hand into a fist and struck the zombie's head.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Bang!

The zombie's head caved in, brain matter and blood splattering everywhere as its body went limp.

"Roar, roar, roar!"

Seeing their comrade suddenly killed, the other zombies roared in fury, all turning their attention to Dennis.

"Heh, what a bunch of idiots..." Dennis smirked, a mocking smile on his lips.

Under the zombies' watchful eyes, he didn't panic. Instead, he boldly stepped forward to confront them.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

In just a few moments, Dennis had already taken down seven or eight zombies.

"Roar, roar!"

The remaining zombies grew even more enraged and launched frenzied attacks.

"Swish, swish, swish!"

Dennis moved nimbly among the zombies, effortlessly striking down each enemy.

During the fight, Dennis began to understand his advantages.

He had speed, strength, agility, and quick reflexes—his assets in this battle.

Thus, he targeted the weakest points of the zombies.

"Squish! Squish! Squish..." Dennis's iron fists seemed forged from steel, each punch accurately hitting the zombies' vital spots and unleashing tremendous power.

In the blink of an eye, he had slain over a dozen zombies.

Not far away, the mutant dogs seemed to realize that Dennis was extremely dangerous and began to retreat.

"Trying to escape?" Dennis frowned.

"Stay here!"

Dennis growled, leaping into the air like a cannonball, clamping his legs around two mutant dogs' waists, and then violently twisting.

Crack, crack! The two mutant dogs' bodies snapped instantly.

Simultaneously, black light coiled around Dennis's left arm, which he then slammed into the ground.

"Boom!"

The hard soil exploded, sending countless shards flying and forming a terrifying storm that swept through the entire building.

"Howl!"

The other mutant dogs were blown off their feet by the fierce wind, struggling to stand.

Seizing the opportunity, Dennis advanced, swinging his iron fists madly, smashing them into the heads of the mutant dogs.

"Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!"

The mutant dogs had no ability to resist and were all killed on the spot.

Soon, all the zombies were dealt with, except for one high-level mutant dog that had managed to escape.

"Phew!" Dennis exhaled a breath of relief and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

He glanced at the corpses of the zombies on the ground, his face darkening. "So many bodies. I need to clean this up."

Dennis picked up a sharp dagger and crouched down to start collecting the corpses.

Although the zombie bodies would eventually decompose, it was better than letting others find them.

He first separated the mutant dog and mutant pig bodies into different piles, then gathered the zombie corpses into one spot, making sure they didn't touch each other as much as possible.

"Hmm?" Suddenly, Dennis felt the ground trembling, as if something massive was rushing towards him from outside.

"Roar, roar, roar!" A deafening beast roar echoed through the sky like thunder.

Hearing the roar, Dennis's expression grew serious. He looked outside.

"Bang!" A massive head appeared abruptly at the window, crashing into the glass. Experience tales at empire

"Crash!" The glass shattered instantly, and a menacing mutant dog burst into the room, its four legs stomping on the shards, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Dennis narrowed his eyes, carefully observing the mutant dog.

The dog was at least two meters long, with bulging muscles that glinted with a metallic sheen. Its black fur emitted a nauseating stench.

Its fangs were as sharp as blades, and its blood-red eyes gleamed with an eerie light.

"Hiss~~" The mutant dog seemed to have caught the scent of blood, its gaze suddenly locking onto Dennis.
